Derma Care (Pvt) Ltd. (DCPL) was incorporated in 2009 keeping in line with Vision & Strategy of the My Chemist group. DCPL commenced its operations as the authorized Marketer & the local distributor for the goods imported by its sister company My Chemist International (Pvt) Ltd. This was a strategic venture to strengthen the business focus of My Chemist group on “Health & Beauty care” in the marketplace adopting a “Selective distribution strategy for our products”

Its product range has been listed in key local Supermarket chains such as Arpico Supercenters, Cargill’s supermarkets and Keells Super outlets. Also a key supplier to renown retailers such as Odel, Cotton Collection, Glitz, No Limit, Cool Planet as well as leading cosmetic traders such as Srina Palace, Fancy Point and Glamours etc.

Sarath Jayasekera began his career at Pfizer Ltd - Sri Lanka (A leading multinational pharmaceutical manufacturing company) as a member of its marketing team in 1985. He then served at Sterling Winthrop (GSK) and New Zealand Milk Lanka Ltd (Fonterra Brands) which are two giant multinationals in Sri Lanka in the businesses of Pharmaceuticals/ Health Care and Milk Foods/ Nutrition.
Since 1985 he has served in Marketing Divisions of the above companies in the capacities of Marketing Representative, Medical Representative, and Medical Promotions Manager & Brand Manager for over 15 years before he was instrumental in incorporating My Chemist (Pvt) Ltd. in the year 2000. My Chemist International (Pvt) Ltd. was incorporated in the year 2005 as an initiative to enter the import and distribution business with a focus on specialized skin health and beauty care products. Over the last decade My Chemist International business has been further strengthened and established in the area of Health & Beauty with the incorporation of its subsidiary companies DermaCare (Pvt) Ltd and Beauty & Body Care (Pvt) Ltd.
